What is fixed-odds betting?

Fixed-odds betting is a form of betting where the Payout is based on correctly guessing a sports result. The amount of the Payout is directly proportional to the winning odds at which the Bet was accepted and the amount of the Stake.”

You can bet on Events (i.e. particular matches, tournaments) and Selections (in relation to particular Events, i.e. for example victory, advance to next round, exact result, halftime scores, etc.). Every Selection has its own odds. The Odds are a number that represents the probability of that particular selection.

Example to explain the terms

Event:

  • Football match between England and Armenia

Market selections:

  • 1 – home team wins, i.e. England
  • 0 – match ends in a draw
  • 2 – away team wins, i.e. Armenia
  • 10 – home team will not lose
  • 02 – away team will not lose
  • 12 – match does not end in a draw

Odds:

  • Odds are determined for each individual Market
  • The probability of England beating Armenia in this case is 3.00 : 1.00.

Below is a detailed description of the options the client has when placing their bets with SynotTip.

SINGLE

You choose no more than one selection – i.e. only one Market in the table of Events. On the website, you do so by clicking on the particular Selection odds. This Market, along with its respective odds, will be displayed on your betting slip. The next step is selecting the amount of your Stake.

The possible payout will be determined as the product of your Stake and the Odds:

  • Possible payout = Stake x Odds

If you subtract the stake from the possible payout, the result is the net payout:

  • Net payout = Possible payout – Stake

You can claim your payout if your particular selection is correct.

ACCUMULATOR

Accumulator  is an abbreviation for accumulator bets. If you put multiple selections on one betting slip, i.e. more Markets, you have created an AKO betting slip.

Individual market selection odds are multiplied on AKO betting slips, giving the Final odds.

The possible payout will be determined as the product of the Stake and the Final odds:

  • Possible payout = Stake x Final odds

The payout can be higher than in the case of a SOLO coupon, where you only bet on only one market. On the other hand, you can only claim your payout if all selections on the particular coupon were correct.

In other words, SOLO is an AKO bet with only one market.

SYSTEM

If you do not entirely trust your sport-related judgment, i.e. you own up to making a poor bet now and again, then SYSTEM betting is for you. Your selections (markets) will be divided into groups which can be combined. In the case of a SYSTEM coupon, one selection represents one group, i.e. the number of selections is equal to the number of groups. A coupon with more selections in a group is called MAXSYSTEM.

Stake placement options

You have several options:

  1. Total stake on the whole system (stake on coupon). You only enter the amount of the stake which will automatically be allocated based on the number of groups (the same amount of partial stake on each group).
  2. You can enter different stakes on doubles, trebles and so on (stake on system). The stake is allocated to the respective combinations.
  3. You can enter different stakes directly on individual combinations (stake on combi).

What you can win, and when

A group is considered “winning” if all market selections included in the combinations have been correctly predicted. Therefore, one error renders the entire group non-winning. If a group is non-winning, then all combinations that include this group are also non-winning.

The potential payout will depend on the number of errors (i.e. the number of non-winning combinations). The potential payout for each combination is calculated as the product of the final odds of the selections in this combination and the partial stake for the particular combination.

Banker bet

If, in addition to the aforementioned selections, you want to bet on one or more market selections that you are 100% sure about (i.e. you think you will definitely win) you can mark them on your coupon as “Banker”. Selections marked as such will be included in a special group marked with an asterisk (“*”). This group will be included in all combinations. Therefore, if any of the selections marked as explained above is “non-winning”, it will render all combinations (i.e. the entire coupon) non-winning as well.

A simple example to make it clear:

You want to bet on three markets (i.e. three selections on one coupon):

  1. market with odds of 3.00
  2. market with odds of 1.72
  3. market with odds of 1.25

Your total Stake is EUR 50.00 (on the entire system).

Breakdown into three groups which will not be combined:

This example takes into consideration SYSTEM 1/3, i.e. each combination includes exactly one group.

The partial stake on each combination is calculated using the following formula: total stake (EUR 50.00) / number of combinations (3) so that the sum equals the total stake on the coupon:

  1. combination – group A – final odds 3.00 – partial stake EUR 16.67
  2. combination – group B – final odds 1.72 – partial stake EUR 16.67
  3. combination – group C – final odds 1.25 – partial stake EUR 16.66

Possible payout amounts for correct selections according to combinations:

  1. combination A – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 3.00 x 16.67 =  EUR 50.010
  2. combination B – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 1.72 x 16.67 =  EUR 28.672
  3. combination C – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 1.25 x 16.66 =  EUR 20.825

Possible payout amounts according to the number of errors on coupon:

0 errors

  • maximum possible payout is EUR 50.010 + EUR 28.672 + EUR 20.825 = rounded up to EUR 99.51
  • minimum possible payout is the same as the maximum possible payout (no errors on slip)

1 error

  • maximum possible payout is EUR 50.010 + EUR 28.672 = rounded up to EUR 78.68
  • minimum possible payout is EUR 28.672 + EUR 20.825 = rounded up to EUR 49.50

2 errors

  • maximum possible payout is EUR 50.01
  • minimum possible payout is EUR 20.82

3 errors

  • no payout

Note:

In the example above, we only took into consideration SYSTEM 1/3, where no groups are combined. A more complex situation would occur if you chose SYSTEM 2/3 (where pairs of groups are taken into consideration, i.e. AB, AC and BC) or SYSTEM 3/3 (where triplets of groups will be taken into consideration, i.e. ABC). In all cases we are looking at three markets on one coupon.

Should, however, more markets be used on a single coupon, there would be more combinations. For example, in the case of five markets: A, B, C, D, E, AB, etc. up to ABCDE, there would be a total of 31 combinations.

An example of the complete SYSTEM for three markets on one coupon is offered below.

Another example, this time more complex combinations:

You are betting on three markets (i.e. three selections on one coupon):

  1. market with odds of 3.00
  2. market with odds of 1.72
  3. market with odds of 2.00

Your total stake on this coupon is EUR 50.00.

Breakdown into 3 groups, we have selected SYSTEM 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3, i.e. all possible combinations:

The partial stake on each combination is determined using the following formula: total stake (50.00) / number of combination (7) so that the sum equals the total stake on the coupon:

  1. combination – A – final odds 3.00 – partial stake EUR 7.15
  2. combination – B – final odds 1.72 – partial stake EUR 7.14
  3. combination – C – final odds 2.00 – partial stake EUR 7.14
  4. combination – AB – final odds 3.00 x 1.72 = 5.16 – partial stake EUR 7.15
  5. combination – AC – final odds 3.00 x 2.00 = 6.00 – partial stake EUR 7.14
  6. combination – BC – final odds 1.72 x 2.00 = 3.44 – partial stake EUR 7.14
  7. combination – ABC – final odds 3.00 x 1.72 x 2.00 = 10.32 – partial stake EUR 7.14

Possible payouts for correct selections based on combinations:

  1. combination - A – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 3.00 x EUR 7.15 = EUR 21.450
  2. combination – B – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 1.72 x EUR 7.14 = EUR 12.281
  3. combination – C – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 2.00 x EUR 7.14 = EUR 14.280
  4. combination – AB – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 5.16 x EUR 7.15 = EUR 36.894
  5. combination – AC – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 6.00 x EUR 7.14 = EUR 42.840
  6. combination – BC – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 3.44 x EUR 7.14 = EUR 24.562
  7. combination – ABC – possible payout = final odds x partial stake, i.e. 10.32 x EUR 7.14 = EUR 73.685

Possible payout amounts according to the number of errors on the coupon:

0 errors

  • maximum possible payout is the sum of all possible payouts = rounded up to EUR 225.99
  • minimum possible payout is the same as the maximum possible payout (no errors on the slip)

1 error

  • maximum possible payout is achieved in the case of an error in group B, i.e. EUR 21.450 + EUR 14.280 + EUR 42.840 = rounded up to EUR 78.58
  • minimum possible payout is achieved in the case of an error in group A, i.e. EUR 12.281 + EUR 14.280 + EUR 24.562 = rounded up to EUR 51.12

2 errors

  • maximum possible payout is achieved in the case of errors in groups B and C, i.e. EUR 21.45
  • minimum possible payout is achieved in the case of errors in groups A and C, i.e. EUR 12.28

3 errors

  • no payout

MAXSYSTEM

This type of coupon is based on the SYSTEM coupon, the difference being that there can be more than one selection (market) in each group. The final odds for the group and the final odds for the combination are taken into account. This type of coupon is intended for experienced betters who know exactly what to bet on and how to combine individual selections.

Example of combinations and calculation of odds

You are betting on five markets (i.e. five selections on the coupon) divided into two groups:

There will be two selections in group A and three selections in group B.

  1. Group A – the final odds of the group will be the product of the individual odds for the respective two selections, e.g. 3.00 x 1.72 = 5.16
  2. Group B – the final odds of the group will be the product of the individual odds for the respective three selections, e.g. 2.00 x 3.00 x 1.65 = 9.90

Possible combinations and final odds in 1/2 and 2/2 combinations:

  1. Combination – A – final odds 5.16
  2. Combination – B – final odds 9.90

Combination – AB – final odds 5.16 x 9.90 = 51.08

Other calculations take place in accordance with the same algorithm as in the case of the SYSTEM coupon. You can try various combinations of your coupon on the website of the operator. You can view the coupon (detailed breakdown) by clicking on the Preview button.

Handicap

Bookmakers given point (goal, time, set) ammount to certain team which sums or subtracts from events real result. It can be positive or negative. Betslips value is clarified when handicap is calculated.

For example

The game is Real Madrid vs. Juventos. Given handicap is 0:1

So, one goal is already for Juventos. If games realtime score is:

a)0:0, final score with handicap is 0:1, Juventos wins.

b)1:0,  final score with handicap is 1:1, game is draw.

c)0:1, final score with handicap is 0:2, Juventos wins.

d)3:0, final score with handicap is 3:1, Real Madrid wins.

If games realtime result is 1:0, betslip wins if clien placed bet on 0 or 02:

If games realtime result is 2:0, betslip wins if client placed bet on 1:

We offer decimal handicaps too, so there isnt draw possibility:

If games realtime result is 92:90, betslip with second team handicap winning wins, final score with handicap is 92:92,5.

If games realtime result is 93:90, betslip with first team handicap winning wins, final score with handicap is 93:92,5.
